Rachel’s story…
Rachel yearned to feel good about herself again, to be able to walk into a boutique and buy anything off the rack she liked…and know it looked and felt good on her. She was unhappy with her shape, she had no energy and tended to always put her own needs last after those of her family. She ate on the run, or picked at the scraps from the kids dinner plates, and often craved sugary and fatty foods late at night. Rachel always dreaded holiday time because that meant having to put on swimmers or clothes that showed her body more than she liked. Lately, she even noticed herself pulling away from her husband when he wanted affection because she felt self-conscious ashamed of her body. My name is Lisa Mills (coach, mentor and personal trainer of over 15 years…and working mother) and I believe that ANY WOMAN can achieve their ideal body shape and level of health. And I know this because I use to be 10kg overweight, suffering from depression and continually on the yo-yo diet treadmill, in search of the ‘holy grail’ of fat loss. Even as a personal trainer, I struggled to find a way to keep my body shape in the condition I wanted, and after kids, well it all went ‘very south’ for a while. I tried every ‘gimmicky diet’ on the market, and whilst I always lost weight/body fat, it was short lived because the structure of the program (especially the diet) was unsustainable and too hard to work into my life…and I got sick pretty soon of always having to cook separate meals to my family! What changed for me…well it was through a beautiful friend, who also happened to be a coach, who helped me to realize that I was playing the victim when it came to my health. So I did a diploma in coaching to educated myself on how to work with ‘my mind’, combined this with my experience as a personal trainer…and The 30 Minute Body was created.

I would just like to say that I personally found working with Lisa’s program a great help and inspiration in my life as I have now made exercise a routine part of my week and am now planning to apply the same strategies to my weight problem. My name is Susan and when I started the program I was 72.2 kg – I’m now 67.7kg thanks to your inspiration and e-mails, and all the other tools you have given me. I have changed habits – eg. drinking loads of water now, eating fruit every day, and more importantly I walk 3kms up and down hills for 1/2 an hour at least 3 times a week (depending on the weather) but as much as 6 times a week and I enjoy the peace and ‘me time’ whilst doing it. I only have a glass of red wine maybe 3 times a week and I reward myself with a little bit of dark chocolate instead of cheese. Mentally I feel stronger and I am even taking on some extra training at work. For all that I thank you so very much. I’m still losing weight and I am looking forward to seeing my Doctor at the end of November to see the improvement in blood pressure etc. However if it wasn’t for you I know it would of been so much harder. I still read the e-mails every week and that keeps me focused. It’s my birthday on Monday and I’m looking forward to buying a whole size smaller in jeans and even a new swim suit so I can take up swimming again as exercise as well. Thank you again.
